21 years hence.

commAttention: this post is a Shaaaks commemorative.

Ashwin had always been this lad at school. Good at sports. Our school won every single inter-school hockey tournament whilst Ashwin &others participated. I hardly ever interacted with him whilst in school, except for the odd discussions about the Wednesday night porn telecast on the local cable television. We’d go to Mr. &Mrs Geoff for tutions in Math &Science in Std. X. I got to know him a little better then, or maybe not.

We’d join different juinor colleges. Come university, we found ourselves in the same institution. He’d graduate in Chemistry &I’d do Physics. It wasn’t academics, but alcohol that brought us under the same roof &at the same time.. whilst lectures &practicals were conducted a few blocks away, at the institution. Ashwin, myself &fifteen others discovered an institution of our own.. the bar(s).

Malhar 2009

I spent the day at Malhar in the midst of 2000 odd juveniles. Detailed posts later. But a few highlights now.

I thought that this collage was very cool. Photos of the college and volunteers of the past, I guess. Well done.

Oh yes, Jhonny, I like the spirit. Reopen Rang Bhavan.

Used books were on sale. Good books. Good Prices. Among all of them, these:

Oh yeah, Jill, I like the spirit.

Michael is always good.

Okay, now those of you who spent the day i.e. the Sunday of Malhar, at Malhar, there were these buggers who’d done this tribal dance like thing at around noon, at the Foyer. Malhar Volunteers? Know who I’m talking about? Got a number? I thought those tribal buggers were very natural &cool. Need to get in touch with them. Anybody?

And yeah, the sound was awesome. &I’m not saying that because all of the staff from PULZ &some of them from Roger Drego are close friends of mine.

Cool, get in touch if you know those buggers who’d done the tribal dance like thing. If you were a volunteer, leave a comment, maybe you could help me.

Drug abuse, the humble beginnings

Growing up, Geoffery’d not known much, about drugs, except, for the fact, that, drugs, lead to a premature death. Archie comics confirmed, that, life is best, without drugs, Betty, Veronica, sluts, but, saying NO to drugs. Growing up, from infant, to juvenile, Geoffery’d been very sure, that, he’d never do drugs, alcohol or tobacco.

Benjaman, Ross and Duncan’d listen to, Ozzy Osbourne, and Megadeth, since, the immature age, of thirteen. Being among them, Geoffery, the youngest of the three, acquired an education in Heavy Metal Music. Soon, Geoffery’d listen to Rock, and Heavy Metal, only. Techno, and Dance Music’d disgust him. And all through these years, Benjaman, Ross, Duncan, and Geoffery were, convinced, that, never, they’d do any drugs.

FAQ

This afternoon, I am going to answer the question, asked to me, most frequently, or should I say, the questions asked to me, most frequently:

“Why such a low rating? Why have you rated the film ZERO out of five?”

“You don’t like this song? What is wrong with you? Are you insane? You don’t like this song? And the band? Dude?”

Well, no, I don’t like the film, I don’t like the song, I don’t like the band. Let me explain, I’m going to bring my degree in Physics into this. Okay. Every body emits a wave of a certain frequency, every body known to man, in this day and age, emits a wave, of a certain frequency. The frequency of the outbound wave, can, and in most cases, will, change, if the body is exposed to radiation.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

It just goes to show, that, the credibility of the Oscars have disintegrated. Whilst movies like The Wrestler, and this one, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button were nominated, for best film, a substandard movie like Slumdog Millionaire mist win. Like I’d said then, bad cast, bad direction, bad music, pathetic acting, but yet, it won.

DEV D

Okay look, it is nothing like Trainspotting/Requiem for a Dream etc. the first half is not bad. But the second half is all shit. The script ain’t like the other Devdas movies. It has a twist. But I ain’t seen any of them so I don’t know. The second half put me to sleep. All balls. 2/5. Had there been nudity, tasteful drug intake sequences, maybe I’d have added one more point. But as it is made, 2/5.
Some people love the soundtrack. It goes okay with the film. But it ain’t something you want to listen whilst in the car.

Slumdog Millionaire

I don’t understand the fuss. Bad film. Bad cast. Bad acting. Bad music. Irrfan Khan is otherwise an excellent actor. This isn’t one of his better performances.. badly directed, probably? The star of the film, beyond doubt, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar.. the youngest Jamal:
