Transformers the movie (2009)

Since the past eight or nine years, I haven’t watched all those many movies, fewer still at movie halls. It was the day, the 10th of July, 2009, today, I went for Transformers, the rise of the fallen, by myself. The scene outside the movie hall was typical. A lot of’em, came by themselves, the cult, come to watch the movie, Transformers, the rise of the fallen, by themselves. The chap in front of me, in line, buying tickets, a’slave to the corporate scheme of things. Straight out of a conference, dressed in formals, cuddling a blazer under his left arm, “One ticket for Transformers, 2:15 show.”

I was next, “One ticket, Transformers, 2:15 show.”

Half the seats were taken, not bad for a Friday afternoon. Most people, by themselves, others, juvenile, in the company of their juvenile comrades. Knowledgeable, a big cheer went up when Optimus Prime showed up, others jerked off at sights of Megan Fox. But all in all, a good 30 minutes could, and should’ve been cut, I think, the movie actually got boring at times.

At the end of the day, 2/5.

Kill Kill Faster Faster

Lisa Ray has always been in the news more because of her stunning looks and less for her acting talent. While she didn’t go far as an actress in the Hindi film industry, not many know that Lisa has done several nude scenes in a raunchy British thriller, Kill Kill Faster Faster.

The cable operator, who’d telecast pornographic films, and the students of grade ten

Whilst the boys were, in school, in grade ten, the local cable television operator’d telecast pornographic films, at a half past midnight, on the Thursday, and the Saturday, of each week. The news spread like wild fire, through all classrooms, of grade ten.

Examinations were fast approaching, in about eight months time, and the boys’d be, for the first time, attempting, an examination, set, and marked, by the state government. Each Thursday, and Saturday, the boys’d stay up late, at night, studying, I mean, watching pornographic films, on cable television. Failure to do so, would mean, that, one couldn’t actively participate, in discussions, that’d follow before class, during the twenty minute recession, and after class, the following day, about the visual contents, of the film. No Internet, torrents, youtube etc. in those days, remember.

FAQ

This afternoon, I am going to answer the question, asked to me, most frequently, or should I say, the questions asked to me, most frequently:

“Why such a low rating? Why have you rated the film ZERO out of five?”

“You don’t like this song? What is wrong with you? Are you insane? You don’t like this song? And the band? Dude?”

Well, no, I don’t like the film, I don’t like the song, I don’t like the band. Let me explain, I’m going to bring my degree in Physics into this. Okay. Every body emits a wave of a certain frequency, every body known to man, in this day and age, emits a wave, of a certain frequency. The frequency of the outbound wave, can, and in most cases, will, change, if the body is exposed to radiation.

Sanitation concerns in South East Asia

Filmmaker Girish Menon, last year, released a documentary film, on a World Bank funded project, the Slum Sanitation Program, in India. The film takes a close look at, sanitation facilities, in the armpits of the third world. Inadequate sanitation facilities, is a major concern, in the third world, exposing its residents to contagious diseases, because of which, one isn’t able to report to work, resulting in a decline in income, the standard of living and children’s education.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People

“HA HA HA HAHAHA there is this movie called.. How to Lose Friends & Alienate People!”

“Let’s go! It must be about this drug addict, a recluse.. his story! Let’s go!”

The movie is nothing of the sort. It is the worst movie ever made. ZERO. 0/5. Do not waste your money/time. This is the worst movie ever made.

DEV D

Okay look, it is nothing like Trainspotting/Requiem for a Dream etc. the first half is not bad. But the second half is all shit. The script ain’t like the other Devdas movies. It has a twist. But I ain’t seen any of them so I don’t know. The second half put me to sleep. All balls. 2/5. Had there been nudity, tasteful drug intake sequences, maybe I’d have added one more point. But as it is made, 2/5.
Some people love the soundtrack. It goes okay with the film. But it ain’t something you want to listen whilst in the car.

Luck by Chance

I must’ ve woken up from the wrong side of the bed. I watched a Hindi movie, in a movie theater, IMAX, Wadala. Or was it a dog bite? No, it has got to be the wrong side of the bed.
Nevertheless, the movie isn’t too bad. And the best part of all of it, it has no *song* *songs*. But the cinematography is terrible. Terrible. So anyway, it gets a rating of 3/5. I must say that the cinematography was so bad that I thought of a 2/5 rating. But the movie itself isn’t that bad. 3/5 is appropriate.
IMAX at Wadala has this long corridor, a smoking pod, well, it used to be a smoking pod. Guess what? It ain’t a smoking pod no more. Ever since the government imposed ban on smoking, I’ve never been to IMAX, until yesterday i.e. You know what? I might never go watch a movie at IMAX ever again. All because they’ve done with the smoking pod.
